Dr Teri-Lynne Fogarty is a pharmacist, educator and researcher at Nelson Mandela University with over 20 years’ experience in pharmacy education and practice. She holds a PhD in General Health Sciences and her research focuses on pharmacy workforce development, pharmacy support personnel, and pharmaceutical care.

She is a registered pharmacist with the South African Pharmacy Council and contributes nationally as an examiner and moderator for pharmacy qualifications. Internationally, she serves on the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) Advisory Committee for Pharmacy Technicians and is an active member of the Pharmaceutical Society of South Africa (PSSA).

Her teaching practice focuses on innovative approaches to pharmacy education, including the integration of artificial intelligence and game-based learning to support student engagement and critical thinking. She continues to mentor postgraduate students and contribute to research and initiatives aimed at strengthening pharmacy education and the pharmacy workforce.
